Making His Marck
July 5th, 2013
The London Majors are turning to Andrew Marck as they look to break a two game losing streak in the Intercounty Baseball League.
For the 22-year-old Auckland, New Zealand born Marck, baseball is a mental game, one he is improving on every day. He brings a 1-2 record to Friday's game and has been enjoying his experience playing for the Majors.
"I had a friend in London, Ontario who sold me on the team," he said. "I was looking for a place to play baseball this summer and one thing led to another, and I was in London."
He played two seasons with the Brisbane Bandits in the Australian Pro League before joining the Majors. He was part of the New Zealand roster for the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
So far in four IBL outings, Marck has an ERA of 6.00 in 18 innings pitched with 11 strikeouts.
